Research as a Practice
Making becomes researching, and researching becomes making.

Making as a way to research
I consider research and studies to be an integral part of my artistic practice. My work grows through a sustained engagement with different fields of knowledge, from textiles and religion to cosmology, language, and writing.
I pursue these studies across disciplines not to accumulate knowledge for its own sake, but because different forms of knowledge open up different ways of seeing, making, and thinking.
My works are therefore both artistic objects and ways of thinking: attempts to understand the world by tracing the relations between different forms of knowledge.
I move between disciplines, institutions, and universities.

Research as a way of making
These studies do not sit outside my artistic practice, they feed directly into it, creating new spaces in between different fields: language may become material, textile may become a form of writing, and metaphysical ideas may be explored through physical processes.
