Intertextuality, from the Latin inter, meaning “between,” and textus, originally meaning “weaving” or “a woven fabric.” Textus is the root of both text and textile. Intertextuality can therefore describe not only the relationship between two texts, but also between two weavings, or between a text and a woven fabric.

 

Exploring intertextuality, I wove my texts and wrote my weavings. The text became Oväverskor.
